This is a fantastic creation of a film though based in fact has a love affair with fiction (Zuckerberg mentioned in one interview that while most events in the film are fictitious he does own all of the shirts Eisenberg wears in the film.)

This film has received countless positive reviews and having finally seen it, it is not at all surprising. The actor that stood out to me the most was Andrew Garfield. Those Spider-Man fans that were initially concerned about a British actor playing Peter Parker will be able to sigh in relief at his convincing American accent.

Fans of David Fincher will notice a much more subtle approach to the adaption then in former fan favorites like Fight Club and Se7en. With The Social Network Fincher helmed a fantastic film truly expressing his talent.

This is a film about an idea, a friendship and eventually the betrayal of the latter to serve the former. I think the emotions in this film are handled very convincingly and over all this is a superb film I give it {{{4 out of 5}}}

The Social Network has been hailed as 'the film of a generation' by some critics and, having now seen the film, I agree; while youths of the sixties discovered drugs and free love, teenagers of today are discovering a world of knowledge and entertainment right in their own homes. And some people who were once called 'nerdy' (like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg) have taken this culture and cashed in on it.

The film itself was a great portrayal of the story of how Facebook came about although, as James says, I don't think fidelity was top of The Social Network's list of priorities. However, despite not being that accurate in its adaptation, I don't think this hindered the film. Personally if I had wanted the absolute truth I probably would have been disappointed by what I got! In fact diverging from the truth allowed screenwriter Aaron Sorkin to inject pure entertainment value into this movie.

The stand out performances were Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg and Andrew Garfield as Facebook cofounder Eduardo Saverin. One performance I didn't enjoy was Justin Timberlake as Napster creator Sean Parker because I found myself just wanting to punch him... although then again I think that was kind of the point! Armie Hammer also stood out as both of the Winkelvoss twins which, by the way, showed off some fantastic special effects.

I highly recommend this film because whether you take what you see as the truth or as total fiction you are bound to enjoy the film. There are characters you'll hate, characters you'll love and characters you'll feel pretty sorry for. If you think you are part of the 'internet generation' I mentioned then do yourself a favour and give this film a go. I give this film {{{4.5 out of 5}}}

This film could have very easily been just another zombie film that passed us by but with excellent humor and fantastic writing this movie hits its mark in so many different places with an excellent cast.

If you are anything like me the film will leave you searching the interwebs in hopes of a sequel. (Last I checked a sequel has been greenlit, and a script has been drafted, but the film is not yet in production). According to IMDB the four leads are expected to return.

This is a fun film that has a lot of fun humor and some great cameo appearances, I would recommend you rent it for a fun movie night with your friends and maybe (if it is legal for you to do so) try to devise a drinking game to go along with the film. I give this film {{{4 out of 5}}}

I was interested to see this film that had been pegged as the US version of Shaun of the Dead. Indeed they are both hilarious zombie comedies and quintessential examples of the cultures in which they were produced. For example, while our heroes in the British Shaun of the Dead try to make it to the pub down the road, in Zombieland we travel across the United States towards, of course(!), Los Angeles.

I found this film highly enjoyable. As James said, the script is well written with sharp wit and great pacing. However I have to say that it is the actors, with their fantastic comic performances and their delicious on-screen chemistry, that make this film. Although I see Jesse Eisenberg as an uglier version of Michael Cera he definitely holds his own as the lead in the film, carefully guiding the audience through Zombieland with his rules of survival.

Funnily enough I too searched for the possibility of a sequel when I finished the DVD and hope to be seeing the planned zombie sequel come to life (excuse the pun). My favourite part has to be a sufficiently surreal cameo by an actor much-loved by myself and pretty much the whole world - I'm not telling you who though so you'll have to rent it out! I give this film {{{4 out of 5}}}
